Who We Are

The George Wilson S.A.F.E.T.Y. Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by former National Football League's Safety George Wilson in 2010. Children in rural communities often have limited access to resources and opportunities. We are committed to providing programming and resources to families in underserved communities in Western Kentucky. Our goal is to invest in the lives of future leaders who will have a significant impact on society for generations.

Our Founder

George Wilson's commitment to service has been demonstrated both on the field and off the field. As a ten-year veteran George Wilson exemplified unwavering commitment, leadership, and dedication to his NFL career. In 2008, George Wilson was the recipient of the prestigious President's Volunteer Service Award, which is the highest service honor one can receive from the White House. George served as the 2008-2010 Buffalo Bills National Football League'sPlayers Association representative. He also served as the 2008-2010 Buffalo Bills SpecialTeams Captain.


In 2010 George Wilson was selected as the United Way of Buffalo and ErieCounty Regional "Live United" spokesman. Lastly, in 2009 and, 2011 George had the distinct honor of receiving the Walter Payton Man of the Year award for his commitment to educating today's youth. George Wilson's mission in life is to serve as a voice of hope and encouragement in the lives of those he encounters.
