Program Overview

In partnership with the Phonograph Farms and the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension, the George Wilson Safety Foundation will host Community Health & Agriculture events annually providing educational resources about health and wellness to residents in McCracken County and the surrounding.


Through educational and interactive activities, the Community Health & Agriculture events will provide free health screenings and preventive medical tips in conjunction with cooking demonstrations utilizing fresh locally grown produce from Sprouts Community Garden.

Program Objectives

The mission of the Community Health & Agriculture events is to simply provide education, training, resources and free health screenings to local citizens in rural communities encouraging safer and healthier lifestyles for families and their communities.

 

  • Connect residence in McCracken County and the surrounding areas with programs that promote healthy lifestyles.
  • Free health screenings and literature providing a list of warning signs and preventative methods.
  • 4-H Health and Wellness activities providing a hands-on agricultural experience.
